How not to support a truck
Sorry I have been neglecting this area but I have not had any submissions... but this photo caught my eye today so it had to be added!

Featured Rig for May 2007!

Oops!
Don't want to say any names or point any fingers towards who was driving Allan's truck onto the trailer at Moyie, but I will tell you his name starts with a "K" and rhymes with "teeth."

Featured Rig for April 2007!

Karl and Kelly
Picture from Allan's playday in Ione... Got this big old Ford buried with it's 44's

Featured Rig for March 2007!

John F!!
Everyone loves an older classic! This truck really did good despite the fact it has an unlocked DANA 44 front. I have to say it looked good too! This might not look like a tough climb, but I tried it right after and got stuck. So did another tough Bronco and a Cherokee. (We won't mention to two Rubicon Jeeps that crawled right up it, one of which belonged to Paul Yelk!)

Featured Rig for February 2007!

Big Rig!
I saw this thing parked on north Market street at a repair place and couldn't resist taking a pic. Good looking machine with 66 inch tires in the rear! It was a two wheel drive rig and with no weight on the rear I doubt it is much of a performer, but it is definitely a looker!

Featured Rig for January 2007!
No serious entries.

Featured Rig for December 2006!

Jaden!
Bill Stock's F-250 with a 400M and skinny 37 Swampers tore it up pretty good at Ione during a playday at Allan's property. His boy clearly thinks of himself as the champion of this outing!

Featured Rig for Noveber 2006!

The Yee-Haw Suburban!
Allan has gotten a lot of use out of this "thing" that is supposed to be intended for a donor frame for another project! It has shown up at Northport, Colville, State Line and who knows where else! This recent pic was taken in Ione during a playday at Allan's property. He said something to the effect that it took 5 trucks, 15 men, 3 girls, a helicopter and a dog to pull it out!

Featured Rig for October 2006!

Keith!
Let's see- Keith shows up with a 1/2 ton Chevy with 18 inches of lift and 44 inch grounhawgs. His 350 wasn't running too well so they change out his plugs and wires and it does OK. At least until it blew up the next morning after a run to the store! So then he ends up hooking up with a guy named Tate who donates a motor. Said it smoked a little bit but for free who cares, right? So they haul the motor back to camp and notice that the intake runners are rusted from sitting out in the weather. And that it was partially siezed. They work the motor back and forth and pull #1 sparkplug to exit the debris. Once they get it in it outperforms their expectations by a long shot. Great power, great response, greast RPM's. It performed so well he ended up blowing out both of his front axles! Evidentally this doesn't deter Keith from having a good time and he takes it out as a 2WD. At least until he blow out the rear end spider gears. But hey- at least the 700R4 tranny and the NP208 transfer case seemed to hold up all weekend! That is only a small portion of the carnage that befell upon the Mountain Explorers that weekend. Allan nearly cuts off his finger in a lawnchair accident and nearly breaks his leg in an out of gear truck rolling incident. Yeah- Allan is the sober guy. Go figure- the drunks didn't get hurt at all! And I didn't say a truck rollover either- I said truck rolling as in no parking brake applied! Allan also saw the downfall of his 3 week old big block. Richard Bates busted up his Birfields in his 92 Toyota, Jeff dealt with flat tires and constantly needing to push start his Suburban. Plus tons of thrown belts. Allan (his name keeps popping up in the carnage area don't it?) lost all his antifreeze on the drive home with his tow rig. Then he loses all electrical power to find the nut missing from his battery to his starter. The camper siding starts coming off and duct tape repairs ensued for the drive home. Rough weekend for all involved, but Keith got the pic of the month just because of HOW MUCH he destroyed in his new truck!

Featured Rig for September 2006!

MUD SLUTS!
Now that is the best 4X4 club name I have ever heard! They have three Toyota trucks out of the Colville area. This truck is actually near stock besides the lift and 39 inch tires! 3.0 liter stock V6

SPONGEBOB!!!
Steve pulled second place on his FIRST mud bog. It must have been due to his co-pilot!
